Job Description

Job Summary The Technical Support Specialist provides expert technical guidance and support to both customers and the sales organization regarding water treatment chemical products, processes, and equipment. This role is the company's internal technical resource ensuring that sales team have the technical knowledge, tools, and support needed to deliver effective water treatment solutions. In addition to direct technical support, this role carries distinct operational responsibilities across four critical areas: technical training and education, commodity procurement and supplier management, water management plan administration (Legionella/ASHRAE 188 compliance), and sales service reporting and analytics. The Technical Support Specialist combines deep water treatment knowledge with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to support the company's growth, compliance, and operational excellence Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Customer Support
  • 60% Provides technical assistance and guidance to customers and sales department regarding chemical products, processes, or equipment. Technical Training and Education
  • 15% Conducts training sessions or workshops for customers, colleagues, or operators on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chemical processes and equipment. Commodities
  • 18% Places orders for certain commodities based on sales demand. Assists with supplier relationship management. Analyzes pricing trends, market forecasts, and factors influencing commodity prices to inform sales strategies. Water Management Plans
  • 5% Manage existing water management plans and conduct annual audits. Complete initial surveys for new water management plants Service Reporting
  • 2% Tracks Sales Service Reporting activity and distributes relevant information on a scheduled basis.
