IT Support Specialist The Team:
APC is a leading database marketer for Vehicle Service Contracts in the Auto Industry for the last 19 years. We partner with Administrators, OEMs, Auto Finance Companies, affinity organizations, and Dealers to create turn-key revenue producing programs. We direct market and sell VSCs and ancillary products to our clients customers. APC shares in the revenue of each sale, thus creating a no-cost solution for our clients.Principal Purpose of Position:
The Desktop Support Technician provides company-Wide technical services in the installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of network hardware, computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and software for all company devicesDuties and Responsibilities:
Accept support requests and questions directly from employees, including via ticketing system, emails, and phone calls Perform first tier of troubleshooting on all support requests Escalate support requests to proper team once necessary information is gathered Install, maintain, and troubleshoot technology including but not limited to, Windows PCs, printers, peripherals, network equipment, cabling, wireless access points, etc. Create and maintain updated documentation for all processes Be Available for requests during and outside regular business hours Assist the system administrators with technical tasks as requested (account management, software updates, testing solutions, etc.) Improve existing processes, workflows, and systems At all times demonstrate professional, responsible behavior Perform other duties as assigned by the infrastructure managerEducation and Experience:
Experience in offering technical assistance to end users while maintaining a positive attitude Experience in a helpdesk or desktop support type role Experience and knowledge in basic hardware and network troubleshooting Industry Certifications are a plus-CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, CCNA
