Position:
The Fresh Market currently has an opening for an IT Field Technician II supporting our store operations. In this role, you will act as a primary on-site technology resource for assigned locations, ensuring store systems are deployed, maintained, and operating effectively to support business performance. This is a field-based, travel-intensive position , with the majority of time spent working in-store environments. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, installing and decommissioning equipment, and supporting new store openings, remodels, and store closures. You will work independently across multiple locations, managing your schedule and priorities while delivering consistent, high-quality results. The IT Field Technician II plays a critical role in maintaining store uptime and ensuring a seamless technology experience for store teams and customers. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, a self-starter mindset, and a commitment to a Customer First approach through professional, efficient, and proactive on-site support.
What You'll Do:
Travel regularly to store locations to provide on-site IT support, maintenance, and project execution Perform routine preventative maintenance on store systems, including POS hardware, endpoints, and peripherals, to ensure operational reliability Install, configure, upgrade, relocate, and decommission store technology equipment in alignment with operational standards Support new store openings, renovations, and closures, including full technology setup, transition, or removal Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a live retail environment with a focus on minimizing downtime Work independently to assess technical issues, determine appropriate solutions, and execute tasks with minimal supervision Partner with store leadership and team members to deliver a professional, responsive, and Customer First support experience on-site Maintain accurate records of work completed, including asset tracking, issue resolution, and maintenance activities Ensure adherence to company standards, processes, and timelines when executing field work and projects Coordinate with centralized IT teams and vendors to escalate issues or support broader initiatives when needed Effectively manage travel schedules, workload, and assigned territories to meet business needs
Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting retail technology environments, including POS systems and store infrastructure Experience with new store openings, remodels, or store closures Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management Experience working in a distributed or multi-site support environment Technical certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, or similar)
