Technical Support & Refrigeration Repair Specialist

Job Overview This position encompasses the repair/refurbishment of product in-house, evaluating returned machines/spare parts and, once proficient, answering calls on our technical support line. There is potential for travel for the right candidate to perform on-site troubleshooting and installation assistance. Working knowledge of refrigeration systems is a must.

Role and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot malfunctioning machines in our Customer Care Lab Evaluate freight damaged machines, create estimate of repair, repair/refurbish machines Evaluate returned spare parts to confirm/refute field diagnosis, determine disposition and document in Sales Force Participate in live call taking, returning voice mails/emails from technical support line and document interactions by serial number in Sales Force Record labor performed/parts utilized in repairs and product/parts dispositions in Sales Force Review operation and service manuals Travel as required, participate in trade show display set up and tear down as needed Maintain open dialogue with Carpigiani colleagues to ensure alignment Additional duties as assigned

Educational and Work Experience Requirements:

Degree from 2 year technical refrigeration program or 5 years refrigeration experience EPA certified in proper refrigeration practices Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems

Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude that takes ownership Excellent phone etiquette with ability to de-escalate tense situations Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability Knowledge of and ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams Above average verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well with all levels of the organization Bilingual - English and Spanish Additional Notes The ideal candidate for this position must be goal oriented and have the ability to competently manage multiple tasks and individuals in a fast paced continuously changing environment with minimal supervision.
