Months Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to support a agency. This position is responsible for procuring Information Technology goods and services, including software, hardware, equipment, licenses, and related commodities. The ideal candidate will have experience with government procurement processes, vendor management, contract administration, and solicitation development. The selected candidate will be required to pick up equipment in person on the first day of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure IT-related goods and services, including software, hardware, equipment, and technology solutions. Obtain vendor quotes and evaluate responses based on agency requirements. Create and process purchase orders for contract and non-contract purchases. Prepare, review, and manage procurement documents including: Request for Quotes (RFQs) Request for Proposals (RFPs) Invitations for Bids (IFBs) Addendums Amendments Clarifications Exception documentation Post procurement solicitations through the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP), Sourcing Tool, and Contract Workspace. Ensure procurement activities comply with state policies, regulations, and procurement procedures. Interpret and apply procurement laws, administrative codes, and contract requirements. Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal departments throughout the procurement lifecycle. Develop clear and detailed technical specifications and procurement documentation. Maintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience. Minimum 3 years of experience managing RFQs, RFPs, IFBs, amendments, and bid solicitations. Minimum 3 years of experience with government, public sector, or state procurement processes. Strong understanding of purchasing methods and procurement procedures. Experience procuring IT products and services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Ability to interpret complex contracts, procurement requirements, and technical documentation. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
