Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Full-time, 12-month staff position reports to the Chief Technology Officer. Responsible for technical assistance to all college computer users, and works in cooperation with the campus Systems and Network Administrators to provide college-wide computer, telephone, and printer support. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in computer science, information systems, programming or a related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year work experience working in the computer support field or a help desk setting
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have a strong commitment to customer service. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group (students, faculty, and staff). Ability to manage multiple activities at once and prioritize effectively. Demonstrate organizational skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications

WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years work experience in IT or related field. Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides the first line of technical support for the campus users concerning hardware, software, telephony, and printing. Either by phone or remote desktop connection. Assists in the procurement, set up, and installation of new computers, telephones and printers on the campus. Supports computer services including but not limited to the computer workstations in classrooms and faculty /staff offices on all campuses. Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to personal computers, printers, and computer hardware. Also coordinates the repair of more difficult problems with the equipment vendor. Coordinates computer equipment use in facilities and ensures resources are available as needed. Monitor computer labs daily, and ensure they are ready for use before the first scheduled day and evening class. Conduct preventative maintenance as required. Coordinate inventory checks of all campus computers with the Campus Inventory Control Officer. Provide annual user training sessions on campus software applications as needed. Monitor software compliance for the campus and report changes to the Network Administrator.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve on the College's Committees as assigned. Pursue professional development activities to enhance job skills and knowledge, as agreed upon by employee and supervisor. Comply with the College's policies and procedures. Perform related duties and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor. FLSA Exempt Estimated Hours per Week 40 Hours Per Week / Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Salary $35,250 - $45,000 Based on the College's salary plan and commensurate with relevant education and relevant work experience.
