Job Description Description:
On-site in either Fort Totten, ND or Espanola, NM or Aberdeen, SD Our client seeks a Desktop Technician to support Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs users across enterprise environments. The role provides Tier II/III support, installs and configures hardware and software, supports standard and specialized applications, and ensures reliable IT operations for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate:
$15.00 to $22.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Provide Tier II/III technical support with minimal supervision and resolve moderately complex issues. Deliver desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity. Support Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems. Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, and other business applications. Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in a ticketing system. Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience. Experience supporting desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers and scanners, and LAN, servers, and network switches. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to work with minimal guidance. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Education Requirements:
Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
