Job Description

Northeast High School Computer Technician Hourly Pay Rate $22.73 Calendar 260 Shift 7:30a-4:00p The high school computer technician is responsible for maintaining and providing support at the building level for all student information system products and support systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS
Regular, dependable, in person attendance is an essential function of this position. Knowledge and proper execution of district policies and procedures. Knowledge of programs, departments or locations served.
Communication/Language Skills:
Possess and demonstrate effective oral, written and listening skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents.
Reasoning Skills:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in various forms. Make decisions in a timely manner, utilizing input from others as appropriate.
Human Relations Skills:
Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with employees, students and community while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of computer systems including but not limited to time and attendance system, information systems (student and/or financial as appropriate) and the policies/regulations associated with such usage. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and other related school software.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Attention to detail and organization in order to manage large amounts of information and data; professional judgement and confidentiality.
Performs the following tasks:
Coordinates the student information system with administrative supervision in the components of master scheduling, student records and scheduling, word processing, grading, attendance, mass communications, website, reports, data management, and maintenance of the student records. Serves as the first contact at the building to assist, train, and support administrators, teachers, counselors, office personnel, and other staff with all student information components and business applications. Represents the building at district meetings. Other duties as assigned. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
