Junior IT Field Technician Location:
New Jersey (Frequent U.S. Travel Required)

$45,000+ (Based on Experience) Job Overview A growing IT services company is looking for a motivated Junior IT Field Technician to assist with customer deployments, hardware installations, and onsite technical support. This position provides an opportunity to develop hands-on IT skills while working alongside experienced technicians. Responsibilities Provide onsite technical support and "remote hands" services to clients. Travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. Assist with network, Wi-Fi, and infrastructure site surveys. Support customer onboarding by installing and testing hardware. Replace and upgrade PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, including photos, notes, and inventory. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Escalate complex troubleshooting issues to senior technical staff. Qualifications Basic knowledge of IT support, PC hardware, and peripherals. Ability to understand and follow technical diagrams and documentation. Comfortable working in a team-based field environment. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn. Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work on ladders when necessary. Preferred Skills MSP experience preferred but not required. Previous field service or deployment experience preferred but not required. Basic understanding of IT systems and business technology. Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
