IT Specialist III POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position exists to provide frontline technical support and assist with the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud services. The IT Specialist III supports end users, helps maintain secure and reliable technology operations and contributes to automation and AI initiatives while developing technical expertise in an enterprise IT environment. The IT Specialist III is responsible for advanced technical support, systems administration, cloud infrastructure management, cybersecurity operations, and IT automation initiatives. This role requires an experienced IT professional capable of independently managing complex technical environments, leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and driving operational improvements across the organization. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field preferred
4 - 7+ years of progressively responsible IT experience
Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, networking, and systems administration
Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud environments
Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Python
Experience with virtualization, backup solutions, endpoint management, and security tools preferred
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to independently manage projects and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure, or cybersecurity certifications are a plus
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
End-User Support Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, VPN, and Microsoft 365 applications
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and access-related issues
Lead onboarding/offboarding processes and user account administration
Develop and deliver technical documentation and end-user training
Serve as escalation point for critical technical issues Infrastructure & Cloud Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune for enterprise user and device management
Manage Azure infrastructure, cloud services, and DevOps-related environments
Monitor, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
Analyze network logs and system performance to improve reliability and security
Manage server infrastructure including backups, patching, updates, and disaster recovery planning
Lead infrastructure, network, firewall, and cloud implementation projects
Coordinate with vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional IT teams Cybersecurity Support enterprise cybersecurity operations including monitoring, phishing prevention, MFA enforcement, endpoint protection, and compliance initiatives
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical safeguards
Participate in incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security audits
Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices throughout the organization Automation & AI Develop automation scripts to support IT operations, reporting, and system administration
Assist with AI-related initiatives including evaluation, implementation, and management of generative AI platforms
Support automation and workflow improvement initiatives utilizing AI technologies General Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, system documentation, and operational procedures
Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance
Participate in strategic IT planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance, upgrades, or critical incidents
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT field
