Job Summary:
The LIMS Support Engineer is responsible for providing application support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LabVantage or LabWare) to ensure stable operations across QC, R D, and manufacturing laboratories. This role involves incident management, defect resolution, system enhancements, and integration support in regulated (GxP) environments. The candidate will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to maintain system reliability, compliance, and performance.Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 support for LIMS applications (LabVantage or LabWare) Diagnose and resolve configuration issues, workflow errors, and data inconsistencies Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes Maintain LIMS master data, workflows, templates, and system modules Support system upgrades, patches, and environment maintenance Assist lab users with operational issues, access requests, and troubleshooting Support integrations with instruments, SAP/ERP systems, middleware, and APIs Troubleshoot interface failures includingREST/SOAP
APIs, ETL jobs, and instrument connections Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA+ standards Support CSV documentation, change control, and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) Coordinate with QA, Lab Operations, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams Develop SOPs, release notes, and user documentation Provide user training and knowledge transferRequired Skills:
8+ years of experience in LIMS support or development Hands-on experience with LabVantage (Java/Groovy) or LabWare (LADL, LIMS Basic) Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) Understanding of QC/R D lab workflows and regulated environments Experience working in GxP-compliant environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skillsPreferred Skills:
Experience with LIMS integrations (instruments, SAP/ERP, middleware) Knowledge ofREST/SOAP
APIs and ETL processes Experience with validation and compliance documentation (CSV, IQ/OQ/PQ) Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure coordinationEducation:
