Job Description

Application Support Executive - Payment Introduction The Application Support Executive - Payment role involves monitoring and resolving issues in payment applications, providing technical support for payment systems, and ensuring seamless payment card processing. The individual will be responsible for incident management, fraud detection, system maintenance, and collaboration with various teams to enhance payment processes. Responsibilities Monitor and resolve issues in payment applications Provide L2/L3 support for payment systems Troubleshoot end-to-end payment card transaction processes Investigate and resolve disputes and manage chargeback processes Support fraud prevention measures and analyze transaction patterns Perform updates, patches, and configurations for payment applications Analyze logs, debug code, and perform root cause analysis for payment workflows Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements Communicate with clients to resolve payment, dispute, or fraud-related queries Generate reports and maintain detailed records of incidents and resolutions Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and enhance fraud detection Ensure compliance with payment industry standards and security practices
Requirements Required Skills/Qualifications:
6-8+ years in application support, with 5+ years in the payment industry Proficiency in troubleshooting applications built on Java, .NET, or Python Strong SQL/Oracle skills for querying transaction and dispute data Expertise in APIs, web services, and middleware In-depth knowledge of payment protocols and EMV standards Comprehensive understanding of payment card lifecycle Experience in credit/debit card processing, dispute resolution, and card network operations Familiarity with regulatory standards such as
PCI DSS, PSD2, GDPR
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills Proficiency with ITSM tools, monitoring platforms, and fraud analytics tools Experience with cloud platforms and containerization Knowledge of fintech innovations, mobile payments, or blockchain-based payment systems Scripting skills for automation of workflows
