Hybrid ( 3 Days onsite ) A KDB+ Support Engineer is required to join MAPS Electronic Trading Data Services team in New York. This role supports multiple KDB+ Applications, built on BoA's largest KDB+ implementation, servicing the Global Markets business across multiple asset classes. KDB+ is a high-performance time-series database developed by KX Systems. It is designed to store, process, and analyze massive volumes of time-stamped data with extremely low latency. It is most widely used in: Investment banks Hedge funds High-frequency trading firms Market data providers
Roles & Responsibilities :
The person hired for this role must have development or support experience on real-time KDB+ applications. . Any individual who cannot demonstrate 3 years development experience, must demonstrate completion of the Level 3 QDeveloper certification from KX (course). They should be sufficiently comfortable working in a Unix environment. At least 3 years of experience in a developing/supporting KDB+ applications or provide demonstrate completion of Level 3 QDeveloper certification from KX Academy Experience of the Q programming language Familiarity with real-time KDB+ applications process terabytes of data daily Excellent spoken and written communication to support users and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders Self-starter who can hit the ground running, leveraging AI and the wider team to help guide them where necessary Familiarity with ITIL approach to Incident, Problem, Change Management Working with Jira as a work management tool
