IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK)

This position is for a IT SPEC (NETWORK), PD# D2181P01, part of the Nevada Air National Guard. This position is located in the Operations Section of a Base Communications Unit. The purpose of this position is to serve as a base systems administrator to monitor the Local and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN), including the planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, and maintenance testing.

Must have experience education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Must have 1-year experience equivalent to a GS-09 to include techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization, also planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls
