Nox Group of Companies is currently seeking an IT Technician to join our growing team.Location:
Reno / Sparks, NV near USA Parkway This position is responsible for handling first- and second-level support of service requests. This relates to all technology, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, cell phones, desk phones, and vendor-specific hardware and software. This role also involves implementing internal systems and providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests. Responsibilities IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems. Support disaster recovery solutions. Working knowledge of active directory, networking-DHCP, Gateways, TCP/IP, NAT, and how it relates to desktop troubleshooting. Basic and more advanced technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Basic and more advanced remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Office 365, Egnyte, and Autodesk Cloud Connect. Experience in LAN/PC administration (LAN, Active Directory, GPO, O365, backup/restore services). System documentation of maintenance and upgrades.Communication with users as required:
keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or planned network outages. IT support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure.Support services for Microsoft-related technologies:
Windows Server, SQL, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, etc. Implementation and maintenance of a remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review. Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure. Visit job sites and branch offices to coordinate services as needed. Qualifications Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.Business awareness:
specific knowledge of the users and how IT relates to their department strategy and goals. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.Technical awareness:
the ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately. Service awareness of all organization's critical IT services for which support is being provided. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
