We are expanding our in-store services and are looking for an IT Technician who enjoys hands-on work and direct customer interaction. Position Overview We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level IT Technician to provide in-store and residential technical support . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, troubleshooting everyday technology issues, and performing hardware and software repairs. The position is primarily hands-on and customer-facing, with opportunities to grow technical skills over time. Key Responsibilities Provide in-store technical support for residential customers Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and common peripherals Troubleshoot Windows and macOS software issues Perform hardware upgrades (RAM, SSDs, power supplies, etc.) Assist customers with home networking issues (Wi-Fi, routers, printers, basic networking) Set up new computers, data transfers, and operating system installations Perform virus removal, system cleanups, and performance optimization Explain technical issues and solutions in a clear, customer-friendly manner Document repairs and service notes accurately Qualifications 1-3 years of hands-on IT support or computer repair experience (retail or residential preferred) Strong understanding of PC hardware and basic software troubleshooting Basic knowledge of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, routers, TCP/IP) Familiarity with Windows operating systems; macOS experience is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests Willingness to learn and grow technical skills on the job What We Offer Competitive hourly pay or salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and professional development Friendly, supportive team environment Opportunity to advance into higher-level technical roles over time
