POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Technical Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operation, assign proactive and reactive work and follow up on the floor with leads/mechanics of the Maintenance Dept. Position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, train, and mentor assigned leads/employees in the maintenance department. Communicate operational issues, monitor, and report out KPIs/Metrics with other supervisors daily, and their manager Interact with vendors to stay up to date with current technology Identify and correct equipment reliability issues Ensure compliance with Plant initiatives: TPM/Restore, GMA-Safe, ISO and GMP Review PM schedules, open work orders, and down machines to assign work to leads and maintenance mechanics Communicate with management and staff to follow maintenance standards. Direct employees to be engaged in downtime measurements, repair time measurements and quality of work to increase reliability. Work closely with Maintenance Manager and leads/employees on improving utilization of personnel, material and maintenance processes. Complete maintenance reports, purchase orders, material, tool, and equipment lists Develop Skill and Knowledge performance plans Conduct annual employee performance evaluations Conduct 4 floor walks per day to touchpoint with their leads/mechanics routinely
SKILLS REQUIRED
excellent communication strong analytical abilities, detail-oriented focus and problem-solving technical knowledge relevant to the industry, organizational skills, ability to collaborate with different teams, and administrative skills;
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. (Depending on job performed at times this will exceed specified amount). Some experience with plastic injection molding production and assembly equipment. Established fabrication skills. Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and a sharp focus on safety. Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner. Ability to read, comprehend and retain information. Basic mathematical aptitude and skills. Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics. Tactful, courteous, polite, patient, and professional at all times. Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Proactive problem solver. Very good organization, follow-up and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task. A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels. Professional image; neat clean uniforms. Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
