Control Room Operator, Renewable Energy -
US Operations, NSCC Location:

What You'll Do:
As a System Operator in our National System Control Center, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth and safe performance of our fleet of hydroelectric, wind, solar, battery energy storage, and transmission assets. Think of it as mission control for clean energy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and monitoring advanced control systems (like SCADA) in real-time. Making quick, informed decisions to maintain license limits and public safety. Implementing generation schedules and responding to dynamic grid conditions and weather events. Collaborating with field teams and remote operations to optimize performance.
What You Bring:
We're looking for people who are: Calm under pressure and confident making decisions in fast-paced environments. Technically savvy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable with computers and control systems (bonus if you've used SCADA or similar platforms). Great communicators and team players. Able to work night shifts, weekends, and some holidays. Willing to travel to remote sites if needed.
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on experience in electrical systems, control rooms, or industrial operations. Familiarity with hydro or steam turbine systems is a plus. Gaming, simulation, or military control system experience can be highly relevant. Associates degree or above in relevant field.
Note:
We value practical experience, technical aptitude, and a mindset geared toward safety and precision.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay: $33/hr, increasing to $37.50/hr after training.
Shift incentives:
Scheduled overtime, night shift differential, holiday pay. Shift schedule includes one week off per rotation.
First-year earnings:
$88k-$100k depending on schedule and training progress. 120 hours vacation, great medical coverage, excellent 401(k) matching, and a 15% annual bonus program.
