A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
As an IT Support Specialist you will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting computers, servers, operating systems, software, printers, and networks across the agency. Maintain all telecommunications equipment for maximum availability. Provide 24/7 support for all IT software, hardware and telephone systems. Maintain a documented backup for all data systems. Facilitate the recognition of data requirements, and create user-oriented solutions to data gathering, storage, and reporting. Maintain all system hardware and software documentation and licensing Respond to user requests for information, assistance, and problem resolution. Train and/or facilitate training for users in general system utilization, procedures, IT security, and specific applications. Support retail POS system. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience MCSA or MTA; A+ or Net+ preferred Experience with Microsoft Office suites, current and previous versions of Microsoft Windows, servers, desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, software/hardware troubleshooting/installation Experience with phone, network, and POS systems and support a plus Able to work flexible hours including evening and weekends as needed Are you self-motivated but also a team player? Are you able to work efficiently with an awareness of what is going on around you? Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you reliable?
