Job Description

job summary: Our client is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for their Cincinnati, OH office. In this role, you will lead the design and automation of sustainable biochemical plants, managing projects from initial concept through to global on-site commissioning. You will be responsible for developing technical specifications for instruments and control valves while coordinating integrated control logic with a world-class multi-discipline engineering team. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering or related technical field, along with 3+ years experience with PLCs and DCS. Relocation assistance available.

CINCINNATI, Ohio job type: Permanent salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Manage the entire lifecycle of instrumentation and control systems, from the initial conceptual vision and P&ID development through to final on-site commissioning in various global locations.

Lead the strategic selection and sizing of primary elements, control valves, and process instruments, ensuring all hardware meets rigorous internal standards and unique client operational needs.

Oversee the creation of sophisticated control logic and graphic interface screens, ensuring seamless communication between process designs and automated hardware.

Serve as a central technical lead to synchronize engineering documentation with Project Managers and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure "right first-time" delivery on capital projects.

Implement practical interface solutions between Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs, utilizing specialized software such as Emerson or Fisher Specification Manager to optimize system performance.

Conduct rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and lead troubleshooting efforts during the critical start-up phases of industrial automation systems.

Support international facility launches by providing on-site technical expertise for durations up to four weeks, totaling potentially three months of travel per year. #LI-TB1 qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 3 years of experience
