6/11/2026 POSITION SUMMARY The PC Support Specialist supports PC hardware and software, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory. The position also provides help desk support to Library staff. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of hardware, software, and common library-related technologies. Skill in customer service. Ability to troubleshoot information technology-related problems. Ability to work independently and with coworkers in a wide variety of situations with minimal supervision. Ability to use all technology applicable to the essential functions of the job and commonly used by the Library. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support and troubleshoots and resolves staff technology-related issues. Installs and repairs hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Images, configures, and upgrades PCs and mobile devices. Installs and supports software solutions for all devices. Supports print management systems. Images, configures, installs, and supports self-check-out devices and payment systems, including coin boxes and credit card readers. Installs, configures, and supports VPN solutions for laptop users. Maintains inventory of technology equipment. Supports and advances the Library's mission of connecting people with the world of ideas and information. Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Certifications or licensure:
A driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Library's insurance provider are required. Years of relevant experience:
Two or more years is preferred. Network experience and A+ certification is preferred. Years of experience supervising:
