Job Description:
We are looking for an IT Field Engineer for a short onsite engagement.
Responsibilities include:
Connecting a console cable to network equipment. Establishing internet connectivity via a Wi-Fi hotspot or mini switch on the Comcast circuit. Participating in a Webex session with the remote support team. Following instructions from a remote network engineer during the activity. Reorganizing and reconnecting network cables as required. Assisting with system validation and connectivity testing.
Required tools:
Standard rack-and-stack tools.
A laptop with:
Webex installed. PuTTY installed. Updated COM port drivers. Power adapter/charger. Ethernet connectivity capability. An Ethernet adapter if the laptop does not have a built-in Ethernet port. Appropriate console cable for router access. A mobile phone capable of providing a Wi-Fi hotspot. Mobile phone charger. A mini-switch (preferred) to share the Comcast circuit and reduce dependency on a hotspot. An Ethernet cable (preferably a longer one) for use with the mini-switch and laptop connectivity onsite. The engineer should be comfortable performing basic network connectivity tasks, cable management, and working under the guidance of a remote network engineer.
Pay:
$25.42 - $35.00 per hour
