Job Description:

Akkodis is seeking an IT Support Technician for an contract position with a client located in Findlay, OH (onsite) . This role is ideal for an IT professional with strong experience supporting Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and end-user workplace technology. The position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while providing hands-on technical and operational support for corporate end-user workstations.

$25-$28/hour (W-2)

Responsibilities:

Provide superior customer service in all situations, including high-pressure environments, regardless of issue size. Accurately document, resolve, and escalate support tickets as needed to internal teams, management, or external vendors. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues with minimal disruption to users; coordinate hardware repairs with vendors. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement timely, effective solutions. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop and laptop computer images. Support onsite users during standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM) with flexibility as business needs require. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency within IT asset tracking and management systems. Implement and enforce IT Asset Management policies, standards, and procedures. Maintain documentation and knowledge bases for supported hardware and software. Support phone systems, video conferencing technologies, printers, and peripheral devices. Maintain a continuous focus on technology best practices and information security.

Qualifications:

Expert-level support of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Skype, and the full Office suite. Advanced troubleshooting of Outlook and Outlook Web Access. Extensive experience with VPN, Citrix, and wireless network connectivity. Support of iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). Installation and configuration of LAN printers and network-connected devices. Knowledge of networking fundamentals and connectivity troubleshooting. Experience with IT asset management, including hardware inventory tracking. 5-7 years of experience providing IT support to end users, including VIP users. 5+ years of experience working with third-party service providers, including SLA-based support. Experience supporting remote and traveling users. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to manage difficult situations and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and OEM documentation.
