Field IT Engineer

Junior IT Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Engineer to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop technical skills while supporting and maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and equipment Monitor system performance and troubleshoot problems as they arise Support user account management (setup, permissions, password resets) Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting steps Assist with system updates, patches, and security protocols Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and system improvements Respond to help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Internship or prior experience in IT support or help desk roles Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) Key Skills Troubleshooting and technical support Networking fundamentals System administration basics Time management and organization Communication and teamwork Work Environment Office work environment Planned or emergency after-hours support will be required

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
