Full Job Description Essential Functions:
Assists in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users. Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users. Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient. Install new software applications or hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary. Add and maintain users on the network; assigning access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards. Assist in installation of workstations and printers on the LAN. Maintain documentation of network connections and equipment and maintain IP configurations and document. Troubleshoot network traffic issues and correct. Maintain email systems and all other communication platforms. Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed. Monitor load balance on servers and make recommendations accordingly. Understand and comply with the casino's appearance standard. Understand and comply with the casino's Eye-Hi-Goodbye program. Understands and complies with casino and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols. Issues written and oral instructions. Regular attendance is required. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior. Promotes outstanding guest relations.Core Competencies & Equipment Knowledge:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The team member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or an equivalent amount of technical training, professional certification, and experience, 2 to 3 years experience in software/hardware network systems installation or configuration. Requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computer hardware and various software platforms, AV systems, player tracking card systems, gaming devices, safety equipment, etc. Strong customer service orientation required. Knowledge in different systems platforms including VMWare, HyperV Microsoft domain structure and Active Directory Services. Able to configure and deploy switches, routers, and firewall appliances. Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Similar remote jobs
