This twelve-month position works 32 hours per week with a daily schedule that is flexible in hours. Some evenings and varying work schedules may be required depending on the needs of the department. We are willing to work around school schedules and encourage college students to apply. Under the supervision of the Systems Administrator, the Technical Support Specialist responds to all incoming level 1 and 2 helpdesk tickets. This position provides technical support, advice, and assistance to school personnel with technical equipment, hardware, and software system problems, troubleshoots issues, and provides actionable tips to resolve problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DUTIES:
  • Responds to helpdesk tickets level 1 &2.
  • Reviews incoming tickets, prioritizes and responds by level of need, follows up to ensure the problem has been resolved.
  • Supports end user with Google Apps and Microsoft Administration.
  • Troubleshoot computers and networking as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and manage Ipads and Chromebooks
  • Works with Windows 11 workstations in a Windows domain.
  • Works with Apple OSx based workstations.
  • Works with managed iPad or other mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoots printers, projectors, and other peripherals.
  • Performs system maintenance as needed on SIS.
  • Office 365 Administration.
  • Maintains user data and set up in Office 365.
Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or completion of two years of college-level coursework, along with at least one year of experience in IT or technical support. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Windows workstations in a Windows domain environment, Apple macOS, iPads and other mobile devices, and Microsoft 365 applications. Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users are essential.
