ASSOCIATE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN COLLEGEVILLE,PA
(ONSITE) We are seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity & Laboratory Computing Technician to support laboratory and client computing environments in a fast-paced technical setting. This role focuses on desktop support, cybersecurity compliance, and laboratory device support while working closely with internal users and IT teams. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow their experience in desktop support, cybersecurity, laboratory computing, and endpoint compliance . Key Responsibilities Provide onsite support for laboratory and client PCs including setup, repair, configuration, replacement, and lifecycle management Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and basic networking issues Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives including patching, endpoint security, and software remediation Resolve ServiceNow incidents, requests, and vulnerability tickets within SLA timelines Install and configure operating systems, applications, peripherals, printers, and lab-connected devices Perform maintenance activities such as: Group policy updates Network configuration changes Removal of unauthorized software Maintain accurate asset and device records Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues Support Windows OS upgrades and device lifecycle activities Preferred Skills & Experience 3+ years of Windows desktop support experience Experience with: Microsoft Defender ServiceNow ticket management Endpoint compliance and patching Basic networking and firewall concepts Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills Experience supporting lab systems, automation equipment, or analytical devices is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment Qualifications Associate degree in Computer Technology, Electronics, IT, or related field required (or equivalent military experience) Technical certifications preferred: CompTIA A+ Network+ Security+ Other cybersecurity or networking certifications Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated with a strong focus on quality and compliance Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in laboratory environments Work Environment & Safety Onsite role supporting laboratory environments PPE required in lab areas: Lab coat Safety glasses Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes (employee provided) No direct handling of lab materials Interview Process Microsoft Teams interviews Quick hiring process with immediate interview availability preferred Schedule Standard weekday schedule Physical onsite presence required for hands-on support activities If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with users, and supporting secure computing environments, we'd love to hear from you. #
