Duration:
Long-term Contract Position Overview The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Tier 2 IT Support Analyst to provide second-level technical support for the Field Services Section and Correctional Industries (CI). This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, supporting infrastructure upgrades, participating in CI projects, and implementing specialized software solutions. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network issues Provide Tier 2 technical support and incident resolution Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network components Participate in network setups, LAN support, and infrastructure projects Support Windows 10 upgrades and workstation deployments Assist with CI projects, network swaps, and Opti-Text implementation initiatives Perform data restoration, file transfers, and system upgrades Install and maintain network cabling and connectivity infrastructure Conduct annual inventory of IT assets and maintain equipment records Provide end-user training and create technical documentation and training materials Evaluate and recommend hardware and software purchases Assist with procurement, testing, and implementation of new technologies Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant IT Support experience Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking environments Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems Experience supporting LAN environments and distributed systems Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with Correctional Industries (CI) support environments Experience implementing Opti-Text production management and labeling software Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
