REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
  • 8+ years of experience supporting laboratory IT systems, analytical instruments, and data workflows within a regulated life sciences environment
Lab System Lifecycle Management:
End-to-end oversight including onboarding, deployment, configuration, system upgrades, software patching, and decommissioning
    Vendor Management:
    Experience acting as the primary point of contact for instrument vendors to coordinate installations, preventative maintenance, and hardware/software troubleshooting
      Regulatory Compliance & Data Integrity:
      Deep knowledge of GxP (GLP/GMP) standards, Computer System Validation (CSV), System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and FDA regulations
        Instrumentation Software Hands-on:
        Experience troubleshooting and maintaining benchtop and standalone instrument applications (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, and instrument integration platforms) Secondary (Good to Have):
        • Proficiency in ITSM frameworks and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
        • Strong working knowledge of standard quality processes including Problem, Deviation, Change, and CAPA Management
        • Direct experience handling local PC/network infrastructure coordination, LAC/E (Laboratory Acquisition Control/Environment) configurations, and standalone backup/restoration execution
        • Experience drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for audit readiness
        POSITION OVERVIEW
        We are seeking an elite Senior Lab System Support Engineer for an immediate, 100% onsite engagement based out of West Point, PA. This critical position bridges the gap between laboratory operations, corporate IT, and Quality Assurance to ensure the uninterrupted, compliant performance of analytical equipment and software. The ideal candidate will act as a senior technical steward, overseeing lab data workflows, enforcing strict data integrity rules, managing tier-1 vendor support, and ensuring the facility remains in a constant state of audit readiness under FDA guidelines.
        ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
        • Own the
        Lab System Lifecycle:
        Coordinate the implementation, validation, regular monthly patching, backup, archiving, and onboarding/offboarding of benchtop and standalone lab computer systems
          Drive Vendor & SLA Excellence:
          Act as the critical operational liaison for external vendors during system hardware failures, software upgrades, and routine maintenance to minimize lab downtime
            Maintain Regulatory Guardrails:
            Enforce strict compliance with GLP/GMP, CSV, and data integrity standards across all platforms; maintain impeccable audit trails and support laboratory IT audit queries
              Provide Hands-and-Feet IT Support:
              Deliver immediate, onsite software and hardware engineering support, executing user account management (creations, modifications, deletions), and interfacing with desktop support teams for network/PC resolution
                Process Optimization:
                Author and revise SOPs and Work Instructions, actively participating in cross-functional strategy meetings alongside lab analysts and QA to maximize workflow efficiency
