5/29/2026 1:12 PM Eastern Position Summary Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a dynamic IT Support Specialist to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering all phases of technical support, including receipt, prioritization, documentation, and resolution of requests. The role provides technical and A/V support across all College locations and is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computers, printers, audiovisual equipment, security equipment, and supporting on-site events. Duties include resolving end-user issues, performing phone support, acting as' remote hands' and repairing or replacing equipment as needed. This role will also support emerging technologies including AI-enabled tools, automation platforms, and intelligent support systems to enhance service delivery and user experience. The position requires travel to branch campus locations as needed to support operations and events. The IT Support Specialist reports to the Director of IT Support and Media Services and participates in departmental and college-wide meetings and events, as necessary. Essential Functions Plan and deploy end-user software applications and related integrations and customizations to ensure proper operation of college computers; This includes all College locations. Proactively provision and manage Windows and iOS computing systems utilizing centralized management software and other scripting tools. Manage and maintain all audio visual systems, ensuring functionality for classrooms, meetings, and events. Identify and define hardware and software issues at the end-user/computer level; recommend and implement solutions. Provide walk-in and phone-based support to students, faculty, and staff. Maintain documentation to reflect configurations and setup accurately. Create procedural documentation and knowledge base articles. Coordinate with other IT groups to ensure the proper installation, operations, upgrade, or removal of all server/client-based applications. Enforce security procedures and ensure system security, including the appropriate and secure use of AI tools to protect institutional data. Participate in moves, adds, and changes to network connected devices. Maintain equipment inventory, tracking all received/moved/surplus items in the inventory system. Assist in coordinating replacement schedule for end-of-life equipment devices. Provide A/V support for workshops and events. Support and troubleshoot AI-enabled tools (e.g., copilots, chatbots, automation platforms) used by faculty, staff, and students; stay current on emerging AI and digital workplace tools and assist in testing, evaluating, and deploying new capabilities across the College. Identify opportunities to leverage automation to improve service efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate is expected to represent Delaware County Community College in a professional manner and promote a student-centered customer service approach. The ideal candidate is an engaging, self-motivated, problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as well as a collaborative team member with a strong understanding of the College's mission and goals. They must demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to faculty, staff, and students. Experience & Education Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of desktop support or desktop engineering experience, including application packaging and deployment at scale using cloud-first MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Action1); experience troubleshooting Windows; working in a higher education environment is preferred. An associate degree orhigherinInformation Technology, ComputerScience,ora related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Supplemental Information Background Clearances:
