$28.00/hour (while on contract) About the Role We're seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to join our Philadelphia office. This is a full-time, onsite position providing hands-on technical support to internal users in a professional business environment. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys troubleshooting, communicating with end users, and ensuring reliable day-to-day technology operations. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues in a Windows-based environment. Install, configure, and maintain user workstations, printers, and related IT equipment. Support Office 365 applications, VPN access, and basic Active Directory tasks (password resets, account provisioning). Track, document, and resolve support requests via the ticketing system. Assist with new employee setups, imaging, and hardware refreshes. Escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers as needed, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, and confidentiality. Qualifications A+ Certification required. 3+ years of IT support experience in a professional environment (corporate, academic, or healthcare setting preferred). Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and common business applications. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform occasional hardware moves or setups. Must be able to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Contract Details Initial contract term:
6 months with strong potential for full-time hire based on performance.
Hourly rate:
$28.00/hr (W-2) during contract period. Benefits eligibility upon conversion to permanent employee (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k). #
