Job Description:
IT Support Technician In this role, you will be responsible various on-site tasks and remote sessions ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, implementation of cyber security solutions, networks, and peripheral devices by performing the following key tasks:Installation and Upgrades:
Install, test, monitor, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Technical Assistance:
Provide first-line technical support to end users by answering questions, diagnosing, and resolving software and hardware issues promptly and efficiently.Remote and On-site Support:
Assist clients both over the phone using remote support tools and while on-site, delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions.Data Management:
Support the management of data backups, restorations, and other disaster recovery plans for client servers and workstations, ensuring data integrity and security.Network Monitoring:
Monitor the performance of networks, servers, workstations, and cloud services, identifying devices in need of maintenance and addressing issues proactively.Team Collaboration:
Work closely under the immediate supervision of the Senior Technical Officer or Principal, following established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions effectively. Perform installations and maintenance of equipment on client sites Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards Provide exceptional customer service and support Ability to work independently and as part of a team Collaborate with team members to improve processes and performance Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Manage backups, restorations and disaster recovery plans of client mission critical servers, computers, and database files to ensure redundancy. Provide client assistance and answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. Build and set up new workstations. Providing first-line support to colleagues and assisting others in the team with more complex tasks Monitoring the IT support work request system, completing work requests and ensuring Service Level Agreements are met Perform remote or in person client assistance to required specifications. Escalate tickets when needed to upper-level techs, system admins, or analysts. Diagnose and fix computer issues, ranging from viruses, bloatware, and operating system issues. Perform setup and maintenance on desktops, notebooks, and servers. Provide support for wireless devices including desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and modems. Teach users how to connect their laptops, tablets, IoT devices, and gaming devices to networks. Ensure that all PC and network devices are up to date with the most current installations and upgrades. Perform email migration, system upgrades, and network improvements. Diagnose and where possible fix end user problems (Windows desktop user base) Maintain office infrastructure including structured cabling, printers, patching Set up user account configuration and management as directed by theSenior Staff/Client Minimum Job Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems: 7, 8, 10, 11 Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 or newer Working knowledge of MacOS a plus Experience and working knowledge of mobile device software and settings (Android, iOS) Experience with installing new computer hardware, printers, and other peripheral devices Some networking experience required; experience with firewalls (such as UniFi, SonicWall, WatchGuard) a plus Experience with hardware virtualization a plus Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent self-management and time-management skills A MUST High school diploma or equivalent Relevant experience: Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Excellent customer service; sound computer system troubleshooting; and problem-solving skills.- This position will provide you with the opportunity to learn and grow both your technical, business and customer service skills.
- This is a Monday-Friday daytime position. On-call evenings and weekends may be required with prior notice.
- Position based out of our office and customer locations.
- The successful candidate will need to have a reliable car with a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Must qualify for employment in the United States.
