Job Description

About the Role As a Technical Field Support Engineer, you will serve as a vital resource for clients and distributors by providing expert guidance on the assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex heavy lifting equipment. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge in hydraulics and electronics to ensure optimal operational performance and safety in the field. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive technical support and aftermarket service for tower crane systems, both remotely and on-site. Guide customers through complex installation, repair, and modification processes to ensure equipment reliability. Analyze performance data and technical reports to identify trends that drive improvements in product design and maintenance protocols. Manage distributor relationships regarding warranty claims, service updates, and technical documentation. Administer service bulletins and product improvement programs to enhance fleet safety and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards. Coordinate investigations into operational difficulties to implement long-term solutions and minimize future downtime. Required Skills Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, specifically within heavy equipment or crane technology. Proven ability to interpret and apply complex technical schematics and diagrams. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including multi-meters, and standard office software like Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work at significant heights and perform physical tasks in diverse outdoor weather conditions. Associate degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with 9+ years of equivalent industry experience. Preferred Skills Experience managing international and domestic travel logistics for field service operations. Prior background in heavy equipment manufacturing or distribution environments. Demonstrated success in vendor negotiation and technical project coordination. Valid passport and ability to maintain a personal credit card for business-related travel expenses.
