We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to join our on-site IT team at a hospital. This role is responsible for supporting, repairing, replacing, and relocating computers and peripherals throughout the facility. While healthcare experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide hands-on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. + Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner. + Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications. + Relocate and set up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes. + Use ServiceNow to manage and document support tickets and work performed. + Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care. + Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary. + Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards. + Support mobile devices and hospital-specific applications. + Assist with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective. + Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems. + Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment (preferred but not required). + Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. + Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role. Certifications (Preferred but Not Required): + CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+Microsoft Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate + Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) +ITIL Foundation Certification Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in IT preferred.- About
