Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant technical, engineering, telecommunications, or FAA field experience preferred
Clearance :
Must be able to obtain and maintain required FAA suitability / public trust clearance, as applicable
Position Overview:
The APC Post-Implementation Support Engineer provides technical field support after
APC/APCMS
implementation activities. The role supports facility follow-up, technical issue capture, troubleshooting coordination, user familiarization, and transition from installation into operational sustainment. This position works closely with facility personnel, Tech Ops, Engineering Services, Program Office stakeholders, and technical SMEs to identify unresolved technical questions, clarify maintenance and escalation paths, and support post-installation stabilization across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support post-installation follow-up for
APC/APCMS
deployments at assigned facilities or regions Assist with technical troubleshooting, field question capture, configuration issue identification, and escalation coordination Review installation handoff information, known issues, facility concerns, and support documentation Coordinate with Tech Ops, Engineering Services, and vendor or program resources to resolve technical concerns Document
APC/APCMS
support issues, recurring questions, workarounds, and recommended corrective actions Support office hours, technical calls, and facility check-ins to improve user understanding and adoption Identify training, logistics, sustainment, spares, access, or maintenance gaps affecting APC supportability Provide technical input to issue trackers, facility summaries, regional support reports, and lessons learned Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues to the Post-Implementation Support Lead and technical SMEs Maintain professionalism and customer focus while supporting field users under operational constraints
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, telecommunications, electronics, or a related field; equivalent FAA or field experience may be considered Experience with telecommunications, networked systems, field electronics, voice communications, or FAA operational systems Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience documenting issues, corrective actions, configuration concerns, and technical recommendations Ability to support multiple facilities or regional stakeholders while tracking open actions to closure Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel to FAA or remote facility locations if authorized and required
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with
APC/APCMS, FAA
Tech Ops, remote communications sites, ground radio systems, or NAS telecommunications equipment Prior FAA field maintenance, Engineering Services, or operational support experience Experience supporting technology cutovers, site surveys, post-installation support, or sustainment transition Knowledge of issue triage, service support, and operational risk management concepts
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent will be exposed to normal demands associated with an office and field-support environment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods, communicate by telephone, email, and face to face, and support meetings or facility engagements is required. This position may require travel to FAA facilities or remote sites when authorized. The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually light to medium. When supporting facilities or remote sites, the incumbent may be exposed to operational environments, equipment rooms, travel conditions, and customer-facing field support settings.

Pay:
$135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
