This position is part of a multi-person team responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting the server/storage/desktop/mobile computing/network resources and infrastructure of the HBPW.Work Location:
Holland, Michigan. This is an office-first position with the potential for some remote work following successful job orientation (which typically requires three to six months). Essential Duties Design, install, and maintain server infrastructure to support applications and users, and integrate hardware/storage systems that impact multiple departments. Install and troubleshoot the installation of personal computers and tablet devices company-wide; maintaining both hardware and operating systems. Design, install, configure and manage LAN/WAN networks internal to the BPW network. Implement, configure and manage wireless network and security camera infrastructure at all BPW sites. Collaborate with the Broadband group to maximize installation and performance of theBPW LAN/WAN.
Implement, configure and manage PBX, VOIP and related telephone systems and equipment. Maintain HBPW radio system and peripherals. Coordinate and verify system backups for all data file structures and virtual systems and develop and maintain appropriate recovery processes for these elements. Organize and maintain documentation of maintenance records, hardware/software, licenses, manuals, catalogs etc. within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. Design and maintain security permissions and roles for all internal systems and components, coordinating this effort with the IT Security Specialist. Develop and maintain network monitoring and automation systems. Provide project coordination for new or updated information technology infrastructure. Develop and supervise training programs for staff on computer operating system(s) use and facilitate upgrades and patches. Provide basic computer training, assistance, and associated technical support to end users. Provide assistance in resolving hardware and software problems encountered by HBPW staff. Manage FCC licensing and equipment for short wave radio system. Maintain UPS systems pertinent to LAN/WAN operations, phone system and the radio system. Maintain all application toolsets pertinent to above duties. Develop policies, and standard operating procedures following industry recognized best practices for network systems, to include standards for wiring, equipment, system security and routing protocol. Provide assistance to various departments on budgeting and planning for networking equipment and software. Coordinate network needs with application developers and users. Provide on-call support as required. Perform special projects in support of the Technology Department and all other tasks as assigned. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Computer Networking or related field; or equivalent education and experience. At least three years' experience working directly in administration of computer, network, information systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Demonstrable knowledge of Virtualization, Clustered Compute models, Network Addressable and Software defined storage, Microsoft operating systems, Firewalls, Routers, and Network Devices. Interpersonal skills necessary to provide courteous and accurate information and responses to community members, vendors and various levels of BPW personnel. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Infor EAM systems, NetApp Storage systems, Dell Servers and Storage systems, Microsoft HyperV, and Microsoft Datacenter. Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco VOIP PBX, Extreme Networks Switches, and Meraki WiFi devices. Knowledge of Avigilon Security Systems and Motorola Digital Radio systems.
