Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Technology Support Technician to join our IT team. This role is essential in providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance across various hardware and software platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, and the ability to resolve user issues efficiently. This position is primarily remote, and only requires occasional on-site work for issues that cannot be resolved remotely. This position is entry level and no experience is required, but preference will be given to those with a background in IT support. This job offers flexible schedule, remote work environment, and an opportunity to break into the IT Field. This role would be ideal for someone looking for part time work, who wants to work from home and have a flexible schedule. Duties Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-user hardware, software, and security issues through phone, email, and remote access software. Manage and maintain computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Assist with computer management tasks such as user account setup, permissions, and group policies. Perform routine maintenance on systems. Document issues, resolutions, and system configurations accurately for future reference and auditing. Work on and oversee special projects as assigned. Perform work remotely and largely independently. Ability to provide client support during regular business hours (8am - 5pm EST). Occasional on-site work required, but rare. Experience Proven experience in providing IT support or working within a help desk environment is preferred. Strong analysis skills to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with users at all levels of technical proficiency. This role is ideal for candidates with exceptional customer service skills and responsiveness. Reliable & accurate documentation skills for accountability, billing, and reference purposes. Other Requirements Candidate must provide own computer & telephone. An Internet connection with a minimum speed of 100mbps up & down stream.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
