Candidates must be located within 90 miles of Detroit, MI. Interviews will be held in person in Detroit, MI. There is no option for a video interview. The work schedule is onsite in Detroit, MI. There is no option for a fully remote work schedule. Job Description We are seeking an IT Asset Management & Deployment Specialist to support technology asset lifecycle management, device deployment, inventory control, warehouse organization, and stakeholder support. This role is responsible for coordinating technology devices from receipt through deployment, maintenance, audit, and disposal while ensuring accurate records, strong procedural compliance, and a high-quality service experience. The ideal candidate has strong experience in IT asset management, desktop support, technology deployment, inventory tracking, and customer-facing support within a large enterprise or educational environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Support all phases of the technology asset lifecycle, including acquisition, receipt, deployment, maintenance, inventory tracking, and disposal.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technology purchase and order support, including order status updates, delivery scheduling, onboarding/offboarding support, and equipment pickup coordination.
  • Coordinate deployment of technology devices to multiple locations, including scheduling timely deliveries and preparing devices for distribution.
  • Conduct new hire orientation or best-practice workshops related to device deployment and technology use.
  • Maintain warehouse and inventory areas, including staging, labeling, organizing shelves/bays, and ensuring secure daily storage of assets.
  • Maintain accurate and current records for incoming technology orders, received assets, partial vendor orders, inventory updates, and device status.
  • Troubleshoot order, warranty, delivery, and asset-related issues with internal teams, vendors, and carriers.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts, technology audits, and reporting on lost, stolen, damaged, or targeted inventory.
  • Monitor stock inventory to ensure devices and equipment are available for deployment as needed.
  • Create and update internal knowledge articles, FAQs, and support resources.
  • Follow warehouse safety procedures and asset management guidelines to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to complete projects, support asset-related incidents, and resolve stakeholder concerns.
  • Provide professional, timely, and empathetic customer service to all users and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT asset management and technology deployment, preferably in a large enterprise or educational environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of desktop or computer support experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Experience with Apple, HP, Lenovo, and Dell products preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with ITSM, ITAM, inventory systems, and database management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and produce accurate reports and metrics.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize requests professionally.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Additional Requirements
