Schedule:

Full-time preferred; part-time available for up to 6 months for students Looking to turn your interest in tech into real-world experience? We're looking for an IT Help Desk Apprentice to join our small but high-performing IT team. This is a great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate who is curious, motivated, and excited to build hands-on experience in IT support. In this role, you'll work directly with experienced IT team members, support real users, troubleshoot real issues, and learn the day-to-day operations that keep technology running across the organization. This apprenticeship is designed to help you grow your technical skills while contributing to meaningful work from day one. Top performers may be considered for a permanent Help Desk Technician opportunity, with a long-term path toward Systems Administrator work.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-level help desk support for basic user issues Troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, and software problems Support users with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive Set up user accounts, devices, and workstations Document issues, solutions, and support procedures Assist with user training and basic technology guidance Help maintain IT equipment inventory and device readiness Gain exposure to core IT systems such as Active Directory, Windows Server, backups, and virtual environments Assist with basic network support, including Wi-Fi, switches, and cabling Follow company security practices and report technology or security concerns as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Strong interest in IT, troubleshooting, and problem-solving Good customer service and communication skills Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and ask questions Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Ability to work on-site in West Salem, WI Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally

Preferred:

Coursework in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field Basic experience with PC setup or troubleshooting Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365 Basic understanding of networking concepts Interest in building a long-term career in IT support Don't check every box? Apprentices hired into a full-time schedule are eligible for full-time benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holiday pay, and other company-sponsored benefits.
