PUC Closing Date:
06/08/2026 at 4.00 pm Long-term contract engagement Hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite/in-office The PA PUC is seeking an experienced IT Contractor with a minimum of 2 years' experience performing technical work in information technology security and support fields. This is a cross-team position to fulfill duties within our security and help desk teams.
Responsibility:
Provide general technology support Respond to and implement support tickets Assist documenting and managing incidents and vulnerabilities Perform network monitoring and reporting Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and policies. The ideal candidate should be capable of working collaboratively between teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
Experience in information security related support Experience in helpdesk related support Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholders Experience with Microsoft server and workstation operating systems Experience with Microsoft O365 products Experience with incident reporting and support ticketing systems Experience with network and computer security testing tools Experience reading and interpreting security logs and reports Knowledge of industry standards and best practices of information security Knowledge of business process analysis methods Responds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed Perform related work as required Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Stays up to date with cybersecurity trends and risks Experience working with Tenable and Splunk Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and technologies Associate's degree or current certifications within information technology Flexible work from home options available.
