IT Support Technician (Contract) - San Francisco / South San Francisco We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician for an ongoing contract opportunity in the Bay Area. This is a hands-on role supporting office and lab environments across multiple onsite locations.
Schedule:
3 days onsite in San Francisco, CA 2 days onsite in
South San Francisco, CA Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 & 2 support for hardware, software, networking, and user account issues Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software in accordance with IT standards Support conference room AV systems and onsite vendor/network activities Collaborate with remote IT teams on system rollouts, patching, and upgrades Maintain IT inventory and assist with equipment lifecycle management
Requirements:
2-4 years of IT helpdesk or desktop support experience Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 Experience supporting multiple environments or locations Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk or similar) Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Ability to commute between San Francisco and South San Francisco sites
