IT Support Specialist

Remote IT Support Contractor (Tier 1) Reboot IT Consulting is looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused IT Support Contractor to provide remote Tier 1 support for clients. This role is ideal for someone who is a strong multitasker, communicates well with end users, and is comfortable troubleshooting common IT issues across both Windows and Mac environments. The right candidate should be able to confidently support users over remote tools, phone, and email while delivering a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

Provide remote Tier 1 IT support for end users Troubleshoot common Windows and macOS issues Assist users with Microsoft 365 support, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and related account/access issues Support basic troubleshooting for printers, email, Wi-Fi/connectivity, file access, password resets, software installs, and user account issues Remote into client computers to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently Handle phone-based support calls in a professional and helpful manner Escalate more complex issues when needed Document work performed, issues identified, and resolutions clearly Manage multiple support requests while staying organized and responsive

Qualifications:

Prior experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support Strong troubleshooting skills for common end-user issues Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and common business applications Familiarity with both Windows and Mac support preferred Comfortable providing support over phone, remote session, and email Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong multitasking and time management abilities Ability to work independently and represent Reboot IT Consulting professionally

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with small business clients Familiarity with remote support tools and ticket-based workflows Basic understanding of user account management, email setup, device troubleshooting, and endpoint support. About the

This is a contractor role with flexible hours based on client needs. We are looking for someone dependable, responsive, and comfortable helping clients with day-to-day IT support needs in a professional services environment. Some onsite work may be required based on client needs.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
