Position Overview Georgia State University's Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist, Associate . Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager, Learning Environments, the IT Support Specialist, Associate is responsible for delivering timely troubleshooting and technical assistance for classroom technology to ensure minimal instructional disruptions. This role also provides on-demand, in-person support to faculty and students for classroom technology, resources, and academic assistance. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems, Windows and/or Mac-based experience. Experience working with Crestron and Q-SYS are highly desired.
NOTE:
This role requires on‑site work. Remote or hybrid work options are not available. Key Responsibilities The scope of responsibilities for this position will include but is not limited to the following essential duties: Technical Support
- Report status of technology issues through various tools such as ServiceNow, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other communication tools.
- Support resolution of Help Tickets for technology requests or incident reports. Inventory Management
- Procurement and maintenance of products, supplies and inventory lists including surplus. Customer Engagement and Technology Demonstration
- Provide equipment demonstrations of device and services including tours of Information Technology (IT)/Audio-Visual (AV) enabled spaces .
- Maintain customer and Vendor relationships. Team Coordination
- Direct student and temporary employee support of IT/AV enabled spaces. Operational Support and Additional Duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Some moderate to heavy lifting, as needed.
- Flexible and evening hours, as needed.
- Occasional travel to satellite campus, as needed.

Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess the following:
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- ServiceNow experience
- Experience in IT/AV enabled spaces
- Experience working in educational settings
- Experience providing technical support
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification
- Excellent work ethic
