Job Description

We're looking for an IT Support Technician (Tier 1 / Tier 2) to join our team onsite in Huntingtown, MD. You'll provide hands-on technical support to multiple customers across different environments , so no two days are ever the same. This role combines remote help desk work with some onsite client visits, which is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and face-to-face interaction. Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network equipment Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues both onsite and remotely Support multiple customer environments across a range of industries Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11, Office 365, and related applications Assist end users with file access, email issues, password resets, and software updates Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed while maintaining ownership of tickets Document all work in the ticketing system accurately and promptly Assist with network and server maintenance tasks under supervision of senior staff Deliver outstanding customer service — communicate clearly, follow through, and build trust Perform occasional local travel to customer sites (typically within Southern Maryland) Qualifications 1-3 years of hands-on IT support experience (MSP experience a plus) Strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts Experience with help desk / PSA tools preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation for local onsite client visits Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of IT equipment when needed Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience are a plus
