Responsibilities Lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of virtualization environments using VMware and other tools to maximize resource utilization and operational efficiency. Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and optimal performance. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and other scripting languages to streamline IT operations. Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments. Implement security protocols such as VPNs and firewalls to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality across all systems. Collaborate within Agile teams to support software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including version control, testing, deployment, and continuous integration. Design APIs for system integrations and ensure effective management of databases like SQL and Oracle for data consistency and accessibility. Conduct system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning to anticipate future infrastructure needs. Support DevOps practices by integrating automation tools with cloud services like Azure and AWS for efficient deployment pipelines. Qualifications Proven experience in IT infrastructure management with a focus on virtualization technologies such as VMware. Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions, and UNIX systems. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying scalable solutions. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, with a solid understanding of automation principles. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools is a plus. Deep understanding of network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, and API integrations. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within SDLC frameworks for software development projects. Ability to manage computer hardware components effectively along with comprehensive understanding of computer management practices. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to collaborate across technical teams effectively.
