This role combines software configuration, controls engineering, networking, and hands-on systems integration with a strong focus on ensuring complex systems function reliably in real-world environments. The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable solving complex integration challenges across hardware, software, networking, and control systems. This is a hands-on role supporting both office and field operations, including active project deployments and commissioning efforts. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom splash pages, web interfaces, and access portals for system monitoring and control Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLC-based control systems Assist with integration across multiple platforms including lighting controls, networking infrastructure, automation systems, and related technologies Support end-to-end commissioning activities including setup, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment of integrated systems Perform software integrations, protocol alignment, device addressing, and cross-system communication configuration Support integrations utilizing TouchOSC, UDP, TCP/IP, and related communication protocols Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless interaction between hardware, software, networking, and control layers Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration bottlenecks, inconsistencies, and system performance issues Maintain clear and accurate documentation related to system architecture, configurations, deployments, and revisions Support both on-site and remote troubleshooting efforts for live systems and active projects Assist with ongoing system improvements, optimization efforts, and technical support initiatives Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications & Skills Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered Experience with systems integration, controls engineering, automation systems, or related technical environments Working knowledge of PLC systems and control logic Familiarity with networking fundamentals including IP-based systems, routing, and device communication Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-system technical issues in real-world environments Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with lighting control systems including DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN, and MADRIX Experience with web development including HTML, embedded web interfaces, or front-end UI development Experience integrating hardware, software, and network systems Field commissioning, deployment, or live systems support experience Full-stack development experience is a plus Work Environment & Travel Combination of office, remote, and on-site project work Hands-on involvement with live systems and active deployments Fast-paced, collaborative environment requiring adaptability and problem-solving Occasional travel may be required to support active job sites, deployments, and company locations as business needs dictate Growth Opportunity This is a mid-level engineering role with strong growth potential into senior systems integration, controls architecture, or lead engineering positions.
