We provide infrastructure support and strategic guidance to nonprofits and grantmaking institutions, ensuring they have the tools and reliability they need to do their best work. We're looking for an experienced and resourceful Systems Support Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with deep hands-on technical support experience who thrives in varied environments and wants to grow into more advanced infrastructure work over time. Office Location Onsite - Rockville, MD and Washington D.C. Summary of Essential Job Functions As a Systems Support Engineer, you'll work directly with clients to resolve issues, maintain infrastructure, and ensure uptime across hybrid environments. You'll support desktops, servers, networks, cloud systems, and end-user technologies while collaborating with our engineers to deliver well-rounded IT solutions. Core Responsibilities Provide technical support across Windows and macOS environments, both remotely and onsite Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user issues across desktops, servers, and cloud services Support cloud-based systems such as Office 365, Exchange Online, box.com, Slack, Zoom, and Okta Assist with patch management, backups, AV/EDR tools, and basic network troubleshooting Maintain accurate and organized documentation for client environments Assist in IT projects such as computer upgrades, MDM implementations, and operating system upgrades Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with clear documentation and diagnostics Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles, ideally in an MSP or multi-client setting Strong familiarity with Windows desktop/server, macOS, and Office 365 Solid grasp of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic firewalling) Experience supporting SaaS apps and remote work tools (Zoom, Office 365, G Suite, Slack, Okta, etc.) Understanding of cloud services like Azure or AWS a plus Exposure to scripting, RMM tools, or MDM platforms is helpful Ability to troubleshoot methodically and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users Strong organizational and multitasking skills Must have exceptional customer service skills Why Join Ventucom?
