Job Description

Under close supervision, provides technical support for computer systems and networks to ensure top-tier service for Pueblo County users. Addresses a wide spectrum of technical problems involving hardware, software, telecommunications networks, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and desktop computers, whether on-site or remote. Offers technical support, advice, and assistance to Pueblo County staff and customers. Evaluates user requirements, resolves technical problems, and collaborates with Information Technology teams to deliver solutions via phone, email, remote connection, or on-site visits.

POSITION/NO REMOTE & HYBRID WORK REQUIRED TO DO ROTATIONAL STANDBY SCHEDULE
This posting will close at midnight on June 30th OR once we receive 50 applicants, whichever occurs first. Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots current hardware, software, and peripherals. Configures computer workstations and peripherals, and manages smartphone ordering and maintenance for all end users within the organization. Enters and documents all pertinent data related to the Work Order System and other associated Information Technology Service (ITS) processes—records detailed knowledge of events from incident creation to closure, problems, known errors, workarounds, and resolutions for future reference. Researches new software and hardware products to support the annual technology equipment refresh process for desktop computers, printers, telephone equipment, cellphones, radios, and software. Travels independently to establish, configure, test, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot audiovisual and technical equipment as required. Configures and troubleshoots smartphones. Performs training, maintenance, and operation of the Public Safety Outdoor Warning and Emergency Alert System as needed. Supports emergency management operations, including exercises and real-world emergencies, as needed. Conducts maintenance on the Sheriff Mobile Command Unit as required. Performs additional tasks as assigned, including filling in for other staff as necessary and/or required.
EDUCATION
Associate's Degree I n computer science, business systems support, computer information systems (CIS), or a related field Preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year or more i nstalling, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, software, audio/video, and peripherals Preferred
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Valid Driver's License u pon the date of hire AND v alid Colorado Driver's License 60 days of hire Required Criminal Information Justice Systems (CJIS) Certification 30 days of hire Preferred A+ Certification CompTIA (The Computing Technology Industry Association) or an accredited program or course u pon the date of hire Preferred

Must successfully pass background check. Must successfully pass post job offer physical examination.
