Computer Support Technician

Job Corps is a residential education and job training Program for students 16-24 years of age. We are looking for an individual to provide hardware and software maintenance, training, and technical assistance for computer and communication systems.

Responsibilities:

Provides technical assistance and training on computer and communications systems and software applications. Identifies communications systems, computer hardware, and software problems and monitors those problems until they are resolved. Assists staff with application problems and responds to and resolves end-user technical problems. Assists in the installation and maintenance of new computers, networks, software applications, and communications systems equipment. Develops job aids, checklists, training, and resource materials for tasks performed in software. Ensures technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software. Works with Job Corps Data Center personnel and the Corporate IT Manager on matters relating to systemic problems, modifications, or improvements. Ensures the accountability of all computers and related items. Assists in mentoring students interested in Information Technology careers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in related field preferred or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis Two years of relevant experience preferred.
