In this role, you will be the frontline problem solver for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring seamless technology operations for diverse client environments. Your expertise will empower users to maximize their productivity while maintaining secure and efficient IT infrastructure. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a variety of organizations, providing vital support that keeps their systems running smoothly. Duties Provide comprehensive technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and mobile devices across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to operating systems, applications like Microsoft Office, and specialized business tools such as SCCM, ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy. Manage computer hardware maintenance, upgrades, and installations to optimize performance and longevity. Configure and support computer networking components includingLAN, TCP/IP
protocols, DNS settings, VPNs, firewalls, and network administration tasks. Assist users with Active Directory management, user account setup, password resets, and permissions within Windows Server environments. Support IT infrastructure components such as DNS management, TCP troubleshooting, and network security measures like firewalls and VPNs. Conduct help desk activities by logging incidents accurately in ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira and providing timely updates to users. Perform analysis of technical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions swiftly. Collaborate with clients to ensure their IT environment adheres to best practices in security and efficiency. Skills Strong technical support skills with a focus on desktop hardware/software troubleshooting. Proficiency in operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux. Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices. Experience managing computer management tools like SCCM for software deployment and updates. Familiarity with Active Directory administration for user management within Windows environments. Ability to diagnose issues related to computer hardware components effectively. Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users. Knowledge of help desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking. Understanding of IT infrastructure elements including Microsoft Windows Server environments. Experience supporting mobile devices and operating systems in addition to desktops/laptops. Analysis skills for troubleshooting complex problems efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
